A 79-year-old man was identified as the person killed Saturday morning after a loose wheel from another vehicle struck his car on the highway in Dallas.

Richard Hood Dunham died at the scene around 6:26 a.m., according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.

The crash occurred in the northbound express lanes of Interstate 35E near Eighth Street, according to a previous statement from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
